Couple of things I'm confused about
Firstly, I just beat the 8 mavericks, and then the first Sigma stage (MMX). I saved all along the way. I went to just start playing again, and I'm back at the beginning... I wasn't writing down the password because it said I was saving... so how do I continue my save???

Secondly, there's suppose to be a secret wallpaper you get by looking at 20 images in the gallery. I just looked at over 20 images for all four titles, and then all the extra ones too. When I jump into the game and go to wallpaper, the secret ones aren't there. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks for the help!

Thanks for the help! Yeah, there is no "continue" button for it, and I was definitely saving all the time. That's incredibly frustrating... Thanks for the help though! I'll just screenshot the passwords when I'm done playing now, that's really stupid the devs still have bugs in something as serious as the save aspect.

After launching one of the games, it'll be under "Password". From there you can "load" a game (which in reality it automatically inputs the password from when you saved).

As for the wallpaper, I had to view images from all of the games. Setting the "Special 1" wallpaper wouldn't unlock the achievement because I had viewed 20 images from the same game. I had to view 20 images from all 4 games, and only then did the achievement unlock when setting Special 1.

Edit: Oh and, for X1 to X3, the Sigma stages progress doesn't save, you need to beat the final stages all in one go.

You save your progress by pressing S on keyboard (Y on Xbox and Triangle on PS4) at the Password screen and selecting "Yes". You load your progress by pressing the same key at "PASSWORD" on X1 til X3 or "Continue" in X4, on the main menu of the games. On Mega Man X1, X2 and X3 you can only save until the first of the last stages of the game. On Mega Man X4 you can save on the last stage itself. Subtanks always start empty. If you really haven't had your progress saved at all, just search for a Password on the internet and put on "Continue".

You need to finish one of the games to unlock the "Special 1" wallpaper (or maybe it's tied to Mega Man X1, I'm not sure). Then, go to the Gallery and see 20 images. After that, run one of the games and select wallpaper "Special 1" for getting the achievement. You get the "Special 2" wallpaper after getting 50% of the medals/achievements.

Edit:
Just beat the intro level again, and saved, then exited. Click MMX, and there is no continue option. It's just broken I guess...

Ahhh it's in the password area. Not intuitive, but at least I got my save back, thanks!!!

Sure thing! And I've added it to my previous post, but keep in mind that in X1, X2, and X3, the final stages don't save, so you need to beat them all in one go. Just making sure since I don't know if you saw it.
