So... PASSWORD doesn't work after the first Sigma Stage in X2?
Because I had to have a look at my config.ini because of some performance issues on X2, after I finished sigma stage 1, I saved the game and closed it to see what was wrong.
Then after trying to load the game it sent me back to sigma stage 1? what is this?
After that I proceeded to look for the password for the second sigma stage, it accepted but, guess what? it sent me back to sigma stage 1 again.

Ya, same here. Save state feature would've been nice to resume back where players left off.

Weaklings. Quit save scumming. I don't believe ANYONE who says they just want to drop and pick up. Load a password, you don't lose that much play. :-p

hahahaha I don't mean quicksave, the problem is have to deal with that last part of sigma first stage in X2, where you have to walljump pretty fast or die by the walls that the robot pull to crush you, aside from that I have to deal with jump input delay.
Password is not even savescumming, on the SNES you could start at any sigma stage if you had the password.

Considering it would be the equivalent of "leave your computer and game running" minus the computer wasting electricity/the game hogging resources for other stuff...
Why not believe it?

Hey, be glad the game stores your password.

Back in my day I had to WRITE DOWN the passwords or complete the game in one setting. (which I am pretty good at with MMX1, but I digress)

You can easily kill them with silk shot, magnet mine or a charged sonic slicer.

That's how the games worked. Saving/loading in X1, 2, and 3 simply preserves the password for you to resume later, as you would on a SNES, but without having to write it down.

You couldn't resume from the final boss back then, and you still can't now.

Nice, I thought they were unreachable before they appeared.

I don't know why Capcom made this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, it happened to me too, so I used an password generator to get in the stage that I was before

Fukka you, no one wants to kill themselves 4 times in a row everytime they launch the game to get Hadoken or refight the 8 bosses again in Sigma Stages we already beat hundreds of times.

Dood why don't you go kill yourself... :MH_Death:
(4 times in game everytime to get a move that can be saved in Maverick Hunter X

Back in my day i did too and also back in my day played Maverick Hunter X that let's you save all progress replay the intro stage quit out of any stage and save FULL Sub Tanks.

No password will save the Hadouken or get you further in the Sigma stages, and also never did on the SNES, so good luck trying to find a password to get you that stuff. That's by design, go yell at 90s Capcom.

I don't ever run into this issue because an hour after I start playing Mega Man X I'm at the credits scene with a 100% clear. I repeat, git gud!

But it is the present Capcom to be blamed for not implementing a more up-to-date save system. They could make a quick checkpoint save like MM legacy collection 2 with all checkpoints at the beginning of the stage. Loading a save is just like "continue", but they didn't nothing.
passwords only goes to the first stage after defeating the robot masters.
