The Day of Sigma

What's with this cartoon? It makes almost no sense in terms of the timeline.

Zero wasn't a hunter at the same time Sigma was, as it was when Zero awoke and turned maverick then fought Sigma what gave sigma the virus.

Was this designed to be a complete retcon?

It was came out with the psp remake of the 1st one, its to tell you how Sigma became a maverick

Sigma didn't become a maverick instantly after fighting Zero for the first time. Some time passed. Day of Sigma takes place RIGHT BEFORE the opening stage of X1.

First X was awaken by Dr.Cain,then they are create Reploids,after that Sigma found Zero and fight with him and he was infected by beating crystal on Zero helmet,Zero was reprogrammed,days or weeks after there Day of Sigma events and then Megaman X1

that cartoon was made of for the reboot / remake game Maverick Hunter X on the psp. it didnt sell well so that idea was scrapped to continue on with the reboot

this OVA it's prequel dude =_=,remake was good and canon,so what's your problem ? Just like i said before,Sigma was infected due Maverick Zero fight, and some time after there begin events from Day of Sigma,and then Megaman X 1

its no longer canon my friend as it was suposed to be for the reboot as i have said, its a good cartoon tho but has many plot holes in it as is (dr kain dieing in it as an example)

if the reboot was going to be a success it would of changed lots of things in the main X story arch like Dr light capsoles where going to be Light's intelect as AI instead of pre recorded msgs (X5 made them AI where X1-4 was msgs)
