Helmet upgrade in MMX1, not required, to destroy grey blocks?
Maybe I'm wrong and my memory is bad, but I remember you can't destroy grey blocks in Flame Mammoth Stage, to obtain arm upgrade and sub tank, if you don't have Helmet Upgrade.
Well, I can in this game. Is this a bug or just my bad memory?

No, I also remember doing it, but you do need the legs upgrade.

you'll need the head parts for the buster upgrade but not for the sub tank
you can just break the blocks with the legs for the sub tank
