Rank your favorite MMX games from best to worst!

Here I go I will start

1. MMX1 without a doubt one of the best mega man x games if not whole series best game, with awesome soundtrack, awesome bossfights, hadouken secret and what not, pure classic

2. MMX2 one of the best X sequels ever released, its basically a much more fine tuned MMX1 retaining all the awesome things the original MMX had plus it adds a lot more secrets and a shoriouken secret, also this is the only MMX game that retained an SNES exclusive value AWESOME !!

3. MMX3 very decent third entry with tons of secrets and you can finally play as Zero. Not as memorable as MMX1 or MMX2 but still solid. This game also has a remastered PS1, PC DOS and Sega Saturn version with anime cutscenes and a remixed soundtrack which I really like, check it out its worth the play and I am actually kinda disapointed they didnt incuded it in this collection D:

4. MMX5 Yup I like X5 better than X4 reason being it had a better story, better action and much deeper gameplay, also awesome soundtrack!

5. MMX4 Strangly enough I didnt like MMX4 that much comparing to the original trilogy but it grew on me in time. It has awesome soundtrack and Zero has a fully playable campaign but so again does X5. Zeros background gets explained in this one. Its a solid entry.

6. MMX6 believe it or not I actually like MMX6 but it got really stale at this point and the drop in quality showed, nevertheless this one has a fantastic soundtrack, play it for yourself and enjoy the battle against Zero which has one of the best songs in the MMX series!

7. MMX8 this is the one MMX game I actually never bothered to finish but I will finish it one day, it just got so boring, I only put it higher than X7 because I really disliked X7.

8. MMX7 this is without a doubt a bad MMX game with weird 3D and Axel is annoying as hell, I remember finishing this on the PS2 and it wasnt fun at all...

X-X6 = Very fun, good atmosphere, excellent replay value
X7 = Abysmal graphics, poor level design, no replay value, terrible boss fight, voice acting is bad
X8 = Gameplay was kind of okay, but character looks awfully weird, compared to original art style.

These are the good games. X6 is not a bad game, but was the beggining of the crap. X7 is just so awful is unbelievable and X8 tried to fix the series but no, it wasnt enough. It sucks comparerd to the first 5. The series was supposed to end in X5, so that explains what the hell happened i guess.

X6: I'm aware of my unpopular opinion
X1, X4: Simple and good
X8: I used to like it better as a kid
X2: I really like the soundtrack here
X3, X5: I'm indifferent here
X7: BURN IT TO THE GROUND!

3: best armor, great physics, boss fights were pretty good (although some of them can feel kind of cheap *stares at neon tiger*) and levels that let you utilize the dash and midair dash for a great sense of speed/momentum (ok honestly im really stuck between X3 and X2 for my favorite one)

2: great physics, level design, and boss fights. it doesn't overcomplicate things with dumb gimmick/puzzle levels (see X8 for examples) and it just feels really nice flying through levels with the dash ability (Its good for pretty much all of the reasons X3 is good)

1: I already mentioned why I like the original SNES games here, but I had to put this one under X2 and X3 just because of meaningless personal preferance the physics aren't as good as they are in X2/3. On the other hand, this one has the most powerful weapons in the series by far. which is nice because it actually makes them worth using

4: great cutscenes (unless youre using the english voice over) great gameplay, zero is super fun to play as. you get the picture. my main reason why this one is under 1-3 is because of jet stingray's level. i also just kinda prefer the X2-3 physics/control

5: meh its ok... as far as story goes, this one is the most important (unless you aren't ever planning on playing the zero series) but the level design is kind of frustrating, and it really breaks its own rules by constantly stopping you so alia can sit there and explain things that were meant to be self-explanatory. this one really could have been as good as x4 if they didnt add all this random garbage to it.

8: this game had so much potential, but they blew it on the level design, of all things. i mean come on, they actually managed to make AXL fun to play as. the core mechanics of this game are just beautiful, but there arent really any good levels to back it up. (also you should totally be able to switch between X, Zero and Axl instead of choosing one to sit on the bench for a level to find out that you actually should have taken him and having to replay the level later) also having to buy heart and sub tanks instead of finding them in levels is kind of stupid IMO. I really didnt mind having vile back for once tho

6: Speaking of breaking your own rules... ok why am i forced to collect certain armors to beat the stupid gate stages? why is high max? why is the zero virus? why did zero hide himself while he repaired himself? on the bright side, youre not forced to listen to alia, and infinity whateveritis's theme is pretty good i guess...

7: what even is this game? why is this game? I actually got this on my PS2 about a year after i got the original Megaman X collection and I was expecting something at least more fun than X6... the only thing that kept me playing this game until I beat it once was the soundtrack. they took everything they could possibly mess up about this game (except the soundtrack because its pretty good) and somehow made it even worse than expected.
