Beware: Boss Factory might be gone forever

Seems sharing characters for this game is now toast!

Boss Factory for this game seems to has went offline pretty recently, so BYE-BYE to any downloadable characters. This is shame, because there's was some good uploaded bosses made by community.

Now the Boss factory page Boss Factory Unavailable[bossfactory.saintsrow.com] on game's website redirects to page showing this:

The Boss Factory is currently not available.

Now Saints Row Reboot will be one of the two Saints Row games suffering issues with its online functionality of sharing characters (Boss Factory being defunct now as of October 2024), the other game being Saints Row The Third that's still having identical issue with nowadays still trying do connect to the vanished My Steelport Service (defunct since 2018).

Do NOT TRY TO OPEN game' section related to Boss Factory shared characters, as it might lead to game crash upon trying to connect to the unavailable service!

Edit: I tried launched the game and when I attempted to load online Boos Factory game just shows that it cannot connect, but wasn't crashing at all. Game was still running fine, it just was unable to show any shared characters!

I think predefined presets, in-game clothing and other customizations that work offline should be still NOT affected.

That sucks. It was a pretty cool feature. I had noticed a long time back the servers had trouble connecting. Always assumed it was just temporary server issues.

they shouldnt have done that, i likes that feature, now they are gonna regret it, and it cant be gone forever, i hope they bring it back once they fix the problem

I mean, an online feature not working when the studio that made the game was shut down? Not entirely unexpected.

Nordic doesn't regret and yes, it is gone forever, just as my steelport in SRTT and SRIV. Nope, Nordic doesn't bring it back. Along with the closure of Volition they also shutted all those online features. You have to do it what it is now. The Saints Row franchise is done.
