Game won't launch?

anyone else having this problem? I tried installing direct X visual C and all that, nope it pretends like is going to launch then closes out. Did anyone find a way around this yet?

uninstall and reinstall all visual C redistrib (there is a number of them)

Do you have an LowLevelFatalError?
If so, try to install an older Nvidia Driver. I've tried different versions, and it seems that every driver which is newer than 390.77 won't work with Unreal Engine 4 Games, at last on my PC.

It just....started to work without me doing anything how odd. I really wish I knew what happened so I can share it with everyone else.

hey, I had the same problem. I played much arround at the settings but in my case it worked.
Problem: You must start from beginning again!!!!!!!!
First disable the Steam-Cloud-Synchronisation in the settings of the game. Than go to Documents -> My Games -> Dragon Quest XI -> Saved an than delete the Folder "SaveGames". Now Start Dragon Quest and it should work.
