Consoles need to hurry up and die.
Then again you're half right, in about that time length and even likely less those consoles will not provide anymore online services and be moved over by newer stuff, BUT! out of service consoles usually means better chance of getting those games in ROM form much like the ol' days with the DS, or even just plain emulators for PC.
The only thing between the PC and switch is portability of course, unless laptops ever manage to catch up.
There is a pirated version of this game wih the DRM nulled and even if there wasn't, people would get it running/preserve it on PC. The end of Steam would be the end of a convenience - not the end of any games.
Okay but their main marketing point for the port is the 2D mode so why would they push that feature so hard for the Xbox or PC just for them not to use it???
