PS4 vs PC
What are the differences between the two versions? I have a PS4 Pro but am wondering if I should get tthe steam version.

If you have a decent computer you can make the game look a lot better with unlocked framerate, higher resolutions, .ini tweaks and other goodies.

You also have the music mod that replaces all the lame midi tracks.

What sort of MIDI? Can I use my General MIDI devices to play the music or is it pre-recorded MIDI?

It's not actual midi files, the music they used in the PS4 and PC version are recorded from midi and sound the same on PS4 and PC, it's just that you can use a mod to change the music in the PC version

I haven't used the mod, but if I had a complaint about the base game it's that the music is just awful compared to DQ8. Being able to mod it to be better is a HUGE plus that can't be done on console.

People have said there's a blur on the PS4 Pro that, for some people, is so horrible they can't even play. So PC.

I recently cut the cord and got a Nvidia Shield TV. With Steam and Nvidia you can stream your games to the Shield TV box and use their remote control as the controller. It's really nice and I can start up DQ11 way faster than I could switch to a PS4 (plus I hate all their updates). So this was really the first main game I got to purposely stream to my Shield TV and it's worked out great. And when I go out of town, I have a slim gaming laptop with steam and DQ11 on it and the save files are in the Steam cloud so I can pick up right where I left off!

depends on your PC... my PS4 pro is far better than my PC. PS4 had the insta pause thing even durring cuts scenes, I find it very valuable.

One word: mods

Sure, there are other reasons, but you know you’re gonna buy the PC version just to see Jade and Serana’s breasts :praisesun:

Just use it, Mod music is just so much better, At least my ears stopped bleeding every time I enter a dungeon or church.

You can MASSIVELY improve the graphics on PC with the right mods and tweaks.

That looks like sh*t.. the bloom is removed and it's inept of all vibrancy.

Who cares how the game looks as long as you get to see some tig ol’ biddies!

Im sorry but so called "graphics mods" are not high on my list at all. In fact I agree with the above poster that graphics in your modded SS look terrible.

Eh, to each their own, but I'm firmly of the opinion that it's this:

that looks terrible.

Seriously, the game uses SIX separate types of bloom, when 2 is overkill.

Also, before the mods/tweaks to remove bloom and the black outlines, I got massive headaches after less than 5 minutes of playing.

Oh, and there's actually vibrancy added to the colors in those screenshots, just no bloom coming off the different colors.
