"When Knight Falls" quest bugged?

I don't see the required knights you need to use your pep power on anywhere. I only see the dinos with the jars...? Tried going there both night and day, no difference. (pic below)

I've also checked the monster log where the npc is located, and it's only showing me lines... So i'm guessing it's currently bugged since i might've ventured too far into the game before completing it. (pic below)

They are actually near that cave opening with the sign. At least that's where i fought them.

I've combed through the whole area, they can't be found anywhere, atleast not for me.
