The stuff there is great, and will easily outclass most stuff you'll find for ages.
That being said, maybe for the next game (there's no way they'd change the rewards for dq11 now) if they offered some exclusive cosmetic stuff or even simply allowing you to purchase every costume in the game as soon as you find the book/item would be pretty cool. That way it wouldn't matter when you started your gambling.
The casino practically hands you tokens in this one. Doing the 10 token basic slime slots, I made 1.5 million or so in a day's playing. That's insane. It would take me weeks in past games to get that high.
