WTF Metal Slash

So I get this thinking I'll be able to do more than 1 damage to Metal Slimes. I was wrong.

♥♥♥♥ this game sometimes, seriously.

It almost guarantees a hit on metal slimes, and as your attack gets larger it eventually becomes +2.

Yeah nice, but since I am on a no EXP from lower enemies run that will do ♥♥♥♥ for me.

Well you won't miss the slime at least :P

Try killing metal enemies without it. You will miss a ton. I'll take a guarenteed 1 damage over a high miss rate. If you want a better tactic try the spears Thunder Thrust skill which is a Crit or Miss strike. It either will miss a metal enemy or Crit them for full damage killing most in one hit. Two of your party can use this strike. Three party members can use Metal Slash.

Metal slash + the sword who can hit 2 times can be good, and with Eric and one dagger who can be hit 2 times, i think is good combo

Im pretty sure those weapons don’t work with skills unless they changed it somehow

The purpose of Metal slash isn't for you to cut through them like butter, it's to be able to hit them consistently...

Falcon Slash is better for hero. Metal Licker (Boomerang) is better fkr Erik. Thunder/Lightning Thrust is better for Jade.

I think Sylv might be the only one where the actual metal Slash skill is his best way if dealing with Metal Slimes.

That helps me exactly 0 too when I need to hit them 5 times and they run away before I even have a chance to get that many hits in.

By the way, what about Erik's Critical Claim skill? Does that one work like Thunder Thrust or is it always a crit?

Does this game have lightning thrust? That was the real way t kill metals back in the day. Otherwise...yeah metal slash is terrible

Yes thats how I farm them, Spear, Jade manges to kill the kind metal slime every time with it.

Metal Slash has always been this way in every DQ that I can remember.
