Well, the problem is on your side, I had 1 freeze in over 60 hours of gameplay, and, seeing other topics, most people also don't have too many problems.

So, since it's coming from you, how can you expect anyone to help you if you don't explain what's going on? Specs of your pc, do you have other things running in the background, have you tried lowering graphics?

Do you have virtual memory set to system managed?
Another game from SE, FF15 was crashing for me also until i set virtual memory to system managed.
Haven't had a single crash since in either FF15 and DQ11.

~70 hours here, no crash. My spec is low: 940MX, 16 GB Ram, I7-7500U. Lenovo Thinkpad E470.

I've been crashing too.
First crash was in my first visit to Heliodor, during the cutscene that show you all of the city. I'm also getting really low FPS in this town, but I guess that's to be expected.
Now I'm in Gallopolis and the game seems to crash at random places or situations, it's like the screen stops moving while music doesn't and then it closes the game, no crash message, nothing.

My specs:
- CPU: i3-7100 @ 3.90 GHz
- GPU: 1050
- RAM: 8 GB

I'm running the game at constant 60 FPS with all options maxed and with the 1600x something resolution (16:10 screen). The only place where those 60 FPS are not constant is inside of towns or looking at complex environment stuff like waterfalls.

Same here. after 14 hours.

I used to get crashes because my GPU was Overclocked. Put it back to normal and crashes stopped. But I'm assuming if you don't get the error for some GPU shenanigans, it's something different.

Word of mouth the game is CPU intensive so if you have a lower end CPU that might be part of the problem.

I've played 40 hours, no crashes.

CPU: i7-4790K @ 4.00GHz
GPU: Titan X 12GB
Ram: 16GB

Maybe the crashes are because the GPU is getting too hot? My GPU always hits about 70 degrees in most games I play, but with DQXI, it was hitting 90 degrees which is insane.

My PC:

Gtx 970 (* GPU not OCed.)
i5 6600
8gb ram ddr4
windows 10 64 bits

Where do you change that?

*To be more specific, the game NOT shut down...is like, the game get minimized randomly, and you have to click down to enter again in the same side where you was playing.

I get game crashes too. My game runs perfectly smoothly, and then the game freezes, and I can't exit the game. At that point, I must force my PC to restart.

This happens to me any any random point in a 5, 10, 20 minute, or even 2 hour play session. The crash can occur while I am walking, in battle, after battle, or in a line of text.

I hope Square Enix is making an update to fix this.

I'm getting this exact same thing, except that I also get stuttering here and there (cpu seems to suddenly jump from the usual ~20-30% to 100%)

I'm running this with a 6600k and 1070.

The memory use is outrageous as well. 2,000,000 K in memory use is outrageous. I even get an error message on a CPU overheating as well. This game is great, but something in the game is drawing too much power to cause too many crashes.

start crash a lot when i go back to the home town (4 hours played)

Same here. I have tried all and keeps crashing...

I suggest to disable DSR inside Nvidia's panel option, if it's on. On me worked
