Michelle and Kia (potential spoilers depending on people's answers)
Did anyone here lie to Michelle or did everyone here tell her the truth like I did? I want to know what would happen if I had lied to her about Kai.

It's like any other "choice" options ingame. It backtracks you into choosing again until you choose the correct choice.

It's like in the beginning of the game when Veronica asks to join your party. You are prompted with yes/no. But every time you pick no, she'll keep saying "what's that? I didn't hear you" till you say yes.

Okay thanks, glad the outcome of telling truth wasn't something I could avoid.

truth...you get hear a beautiful story behind that whole mess and help heal heart in process. but honestly had to really think about it first before i did. wiegh out short pain finding out vs long term of not knowing and worrying over were he is.

no thats not true

if you lie to her it DOES change what happens...

she ends up telling you how to get underwater and giving you the harp without going back to lonalulu. its an entirely different cut scene.

This.

They're both ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up endings, it just depends on which you want more.

As what Nuro said.
Her story is the most disturbing ever in this game. If you choose to lie, she lives. If you choose to tell the truth, she dies. However, the story will not end there. As for the reason, you will know later.
I just like, "WTF,......alllll rightttt."

Hmmm, okay according to multiple others JIBA is wrong so I removed his reply from "solved my question" status. I really want to see what happens if lie to her now, perhaps someone will choose that in a youtube video playthrough but of the ones seen so far everyone has picked tell truth like I did.

Yeah, because only telling the truth give you best cutscene. The other is just that She simply wait there for her love, and give you the harp. .

I couldn't do it. Leaving her there to pine away for god only knows how many cneturies. That whole quest broke my heart. It was sad, but most strories involving mermaids usually are.

Major Spoilers after "The Big Event"

What happens if you go back there during the 2nd half of the game after ♥♥♥♥ goes down? Is she still waiting? If the Demons got her... at least she didnt have to wait centuries? So that's good, right?

So my game had a major continuity gaff and its kind of a bummer.

She's right there sitting on her rock again in the post-game, acting as though I lied to her. Then a little side quest plays out that makes no sense even given the shenanigans going on the plot beforehand. Very Strange.
