Are the "Supplicant" and "Healer" bonus items available later in the game as buyable/craftable items?
Just curious.

I assume you don't have them so let me save you the concerns. They are completely useless after a few hours.

I don't think they are available outside of the bonuses.

That's not entirely true unless there is a pile of secret mana recovery accessories that I've somehow missed. The Supplicant accessory is giving me 2 mana ever turn after making it a +2. That's enough to keep the basic spells powered without having to waste a lot of turns with melee attacks to drain mana on either of the casters. I suppose you could always run back to camps to recover mana, but that would be a huge waste of time. There just aren't many mana recovery options in DQ and Supplicant is still great at lv 17 for me (about 10 hours in). Of course, it really is just a time-saver overall. You can always grind more out gold for mana recovery consumables or run back to camps.

I suspect it will be useless later when the low mana spells aren't useful and you've worked out some other mana recovery strategies, but it's definitely a big time saver for a lot of the game.

I still haven't made it that far but I'd still consider 17 hours the early game. Perhaps that's my bad.

And it's true that thje MP one is better than the HP one. I hadn't considered upgrading them. Does it regen more MP then?

Guys +3 they give 3MP and 10HP each turn, It's not bad at all I think maybe just in mid-late game It Is.

Yes, they do more when upgraded. MP regen one at +2 gives 2. Other guy said it gives 3 at +3, but I haven't bothered trying to reforge it again yet.

MP one is definitely better due to the few MP regen options. I found the HP one was pretty useless after I got Serena in the party. The MP regen one on Veronica is great for constantly dishing out spells without mana concerns, and I don't see myself dropping it for a long while, although I guess I might reach a point where the stats on new accessories are just too enticing.

Alright. Looks like I'm upgrading it too!

not sure you can craft/buy them but i know for sure that the 'healer' one can be gotten from a chest/drop (cant remember which), but i know i have 2 of them

I put the mana one on the hero (because when it's +3, he can basically cast a free heal every turn) and the healing one on Erik (which lets the hero not have to focus on healing him as much).

You can check the +1, +2, and +3 stats you wil get at menu for each weapon/armor/accesory before reforging it. But yes, in +3 they give you 10HP and 3MP per turn

I only reforge items that I see they are good at +2 or +3. If not, it doesnt worth it do reforge.

The only other MP regen accessory I've found up to this point is the ribbon for Jade. It is significantly better, but much less useful since it only works for her.

I've reforged at least one of every item up to +3. Partial because there's accolaides for it, and partially because it's just fun to do. lol

You get a item later that gives 25HP a turn. The healer item from the DLC is pretty good. I used it a lot from the start. never had to heal because of it. But later on it blows. 10 is not enough as 25 is.

Minimedal rewards. Plus you get the wristorative recipie later on which at +3 restore 25 x turn.
I have yet to find an mp x turn item similar to supplicant tho.. craftable I mean.
Edit: if I remember correctly you get a supplicant from the inn in gondola, or somewhere there, may not be the in ...

Happy hat you get later on from quests or from shooting all the targets from the crossbow minigame around the world regens mp as you walk around up to 3 a tick once you +3 it
Nyphila Sep 7, 2018 @ 10:58pm
I got duplicates of both of these, so they are there in the game, there's also no lack of better items that offer mana or hp regen, so you don't need to worry about that.
