Any reason to keep old gear?

So, I'd like to know if there is any reason to keep old underleveled gear
I kept it so far thinking that maybe some of it could be used on forge recipe... but none so far
And since I recently understood switching weapon during a fight doesnt end the turn.. I switch weapon more and more (especially since I have casters in the team)... But my inventory slowly starts to become messy...

So... Is it ok if I sell every old gear... or it's a mistake?

I noticed with certain things the merchant will ask if you are sure want to sell because you might not be able to find that item again? I've just been keeping those and selling everything else.

You keep everything so you can feel good lol

Not much point in holding on to outdated gear. Get new stuff, make it all +3, sell the old stuff.
Or just hoard stuff. :p

My question was mainly: are there forge recipe that uses old rare gear?
because I d like to get rid of this (as previously mentionned: it's becoming pretty annoying to browse inventory to switch weapon mid-fight)

I haven't found any recipes that uses other gear. The only thing like that I've come across is for the pre-order costume. There's actually an upgrade to it. Which I think is kind of awesome. Much better than more bonuses that just get made useless an hour into the game. :p

How far into the game are you? Is there anyone in post-game that can confirm there are no recipes that use old equipment? It would put my mind at ease...and my shoulders, cuz this stuff ain't light.

Sell whatever you want, maybe keep things when the game is like Hey This is Hard to Get Are You Sure?

Otherwise if you need it again later either a shop or the forge will be right there.
