Console or PC? Controller support on PC?
Will you buy it for console or PC? I don't know if i can trust it to be a good port and this game is not about best-graphics-only anyway.. Will it have full support with controllers? I prefer to use Sony's Dualshocks.

We'll know what forums to find you on. (Clue: not this one.)

Don't worry, I'll be here.
Doing what? I mean, I can't and frankly wouldn't stop you from being here, even if I were a mod allowed to act freely.

But honestly? I just can't see what brings you to a PC DQ XI forum. I can see you may. out of curiousity be interested in how the release turns out, but that's a while away.

Obviously I'm here to discuss dragon quest on multiple forums with multiple demographics. The PC crowd may react completely different from the PS4 crowd. It will be interesting to see people's views and how they justify them.

In the here and now, the game hasn't released, hence the curiousity. But sure, don't let me stop you; not that you was.

I played the early DW titles on NES back in the day and loved DQ8 on PS2, but I don't have a PS4 so I'm really excited that this is coming to PC! I would love to play exclusives like Horizon and Bloodborne as well but can't justify the expense of buying the console for just a few games, so it's great to see a game like this will be releasing on PC. Hoping for a quality port! :)

tbh considering its on console in japan, im assuming its on console over there anyway, why wouldnty pc have controller support, it wouldnt make sense porting a game over to pc from console and removing the controller support. at least that is what i think. And to answer the first question, PC. I say PC mainly because of the factor that i do not have access to a console that will support playing Dragon QuestXI

I'm getting it for PC.

Honestly I've just gotten kind of bored of consoles. There's no many games that are console exclusive anymore, and most of the games I can get for PC end up being better there anyway.

Not to mention PC lets you mod and stuff, which can add more fun to games you've gone through already.

The game has NO full controller support, that is done by Steam. I tried to play it over Xbox Game Pass, and it didn't work just in the way games that only have xinput support don't work with directinput controllers. So it will work here with just about every controller, but that comes from playing under Steam, not from the game itself.
For people who don't know: xinput = xbox360 controller, directinput every controller made before that. No, there was no reason to make older controllers unusable, they have exactly the same buttons and everything. Yes, for a few years Steams Big Picture supported directinput so developers didn't have to do their work anymore.
