The reasons why this kind of side quest should have never existed.

Those who are playing/have played through DQ 11 should know what side quest I am talking about. 'Richie's Rock-Hard Roulette Challenge' is probably the biggest stain on this game that I have seen after a few play-throughs.

Here are my reasons why I don't think that they should ever include something like this again in DQ (or any other series, for that matter):

1. It is a side quest that is completely based on chance and has nothing to do with skill.

2. It's bad enough to have to place bets manually every time, let alone repeatedly for so many countless times. Even online casinos have the decency to add a rebetting option to their roulette app.

3. THE BIGGEST REASON. Nothing knocks the wind out of a game more than getting bored to tears while staring for an hour at a betting table, just to finish that one remaining side quest. If I wanted to do that, I would have spent money on a roulette game, instead.

you could just wait for the bunny girl to tell you when it's time for a jackpot and do the quest in less than one hour

I got it on my second attempt, betted on just 12 and 14 because I heard 12 and 14 works for the jackpot sidequest. after 1-5 attempts.

I got mine jackpot as I said on 2nd attempt.
seems "scripted" on them, too many people got it on them as well.
probably some inside code/guide info that got leaked.

also, you dont need all sidequest for X and Y and Z the story doesnt happen in "true ending" act.
so its def a "misseable" if you feel like it.

i dont mind the side quest, if it isnt linked to a special item (ie mini-medals) or unique quest item.

Im ok with similar quests, as long as its truly a "side quest": one that can be ignored without affecting the main story, or limiting the player.
