How to win at roulette [Tutorial]

As you might know there is a certain side quest that requires you to win the roulette jackpot at the second casino. This side quest is driving players crazy because it's based on pure luck. Or is it...?

Nope, turns out there is a pretty simple way to win the jackpot. Enter the VIP part of the second casino (it's the part with the roulette tables). In the west there's this particular bunny girl standing next to that big pillar filled with golden coins. Talk to her, and if she offers you an explanation about the jackpot select "NO". Now here's the interesting part: There is a small chance that she will tell you something along the lines of: "I have a feeling someone will win the jackpot soon".

If she doesn't say something like this: Run over to the inn, rest, and try again. You NEED her to have that "feeling". If she finally feels like there will be a winner soon, sit down at the roulette table in the middle of the room. Now bet the maximum amount of tokens at two numbers: 12 and 14. This can take a few rounds, but you'll win the jackpot soon.

I don't know why it's 12 and 14. All I know is that it works, and that I was able to win the jackpot THREE TIMES during the last 30 minutes. That's over 3 million tokens! :D But more importantly: That stupid side quest is finally finished...

Just look at what number is getting prizes constantly. It was 1 for me.

I don't think the number matters at all. Once the game decides you're getting a jackpot, you're getting a jackpot.

If you do mass betting it at the very least reduces the chances. Bet on one or two spots when jackpot fishing. Whatever determines it will happen doesn't like if you put chips on both red and black for instance.

Also as long as its the 200 minimum table you will get the full jackpot even with a single chip. Don't need to throw full piles around.

The trick is to bet one 1 number and 1 number alone... The more numbers you bet on the less likely you are to have the ball land on that number... no joke.

I was betting on a 3rd of the numbers and could never get it to land on those numbers after about 30 attempts.

I switched tables and bet on a single number ONCE... it was 17 black... nailed it on the first try...

My reaction was shocked to say the least...

I then decided to test that theory because I had to get the 10 casino accolaides achievement and I figured if I just kept betting on the treasure chest and only the treasure chest, I was bound to land on it quickly...

Not kidding, took me 3 spins and I got it by only betting on the chest... : /

More bets on different numbers = less likely to win. Keep that in mind.

Follow this video except get rid of all the tokens at the bottom so 1-12, 13-24, 25-36 and everything below them (They mathematically don't make a difference):

Winning the jackpot is way better than getting tiny payouts every now and then.

but u bet on every number so u're more likely to get the jackpot. Eventually u'll get the jackpot and if u lose tokens u just have to repeat from the auto save and leave every now and then to refresh the auto save.

I have no idea how people are getting the jackpot in so little tries. I spent almost 30 hours trying to get the jackpot and i was following this. If it wasn't for the Vest for Success, I wouldn't have bothered. Whoever came up with this quest, needs their head examined.

I was able to get the jackpot in 15 minutes with this method. The game seems to somehow favor you if you bet on only one number, but only when the bunny girl makes the comment about feeling like someone will win it soon.

I know this is necro'ing the thread, however just want to thank OP for great advice on getting the jackpot (and completing the quest!)! The bunny girl predicting that someone's 'going to win big real soon' was the key! After getting that message, the roulette ball started to land more frequently on a single number -- first time for me it was 17 (saw it 3 times under the 'Recent Results' list of numbers, and it just kept appearing), the next time I tried it, 21 was the number that the ball just kept landing on really frequently. I ended up putting a token on whatever number started getting hit the most frequently, and after a few spins got the jackpot. Then without exiting the roulette game, I just kept going and placing a token on that same number, and sure enough I kept getting wins and jackpots. 3 jackpots in 25 minutes + 4 normal wins. Unsure how long the streak lasts, I stopped after 3. Anyway, without the OP's advice, I never would have been able to complete this quest! Thanks! :D

Spent 2,5 hours on this now. betted everything and single numbers and both of them (12 and 14). But never getting the jackpot, even though the bunny girl says that she's sure someone wins it soon.

On monday, i wasted another 2 hours on this one. This is getting really stupid. Even in a grindy jprg, this is just too much grind :D This is probably the only thing now that's stopping my from getting my last achievement, and i can't seem to nail it.

Yes this is a rant, i'm stupid for wasting my own time but it bothers me not getting my final achievement. I could had played RE2 remake 4 hours this week already after work, but nope, instead i was spinning the virtual roulette :D

the japanese MUST include tedious mini games and force you to play tedious mini games by tying them to either quests or in-game rewards/unlockables.
