Farming Pep Pips From Slot Machine Enemy Post-Game? [Possible Minor Spoilers]

I watched a video detailing the Pep Power method of Exp farming, and the creator said there are post-game slot machine enemies that you can get Pep Pips from, but they didn't mention where, and I've yet to encounter them in my post-game adventuring. Anyone know where they might be found?

EDIT: Apparently he meant farming them for Mini Medals, for trading in for Pips. He worded it incorrectly.

One of the whale stations has a lot of them. I think one in the South east.

OR: you can just farm gold and buy pep pops at 200.000 gold a piece. Takes about 5 minutes to get that much if you are stealing shields from a certain mob in a certain way station.
