Scholars Stone? (spoiler?)

So I can't find the scholars stone for the sidequest (I'm in desperate need of armor upgrades) can anyone point me in a direction that's not a vague-ish hint from an NPC?

I'm assuming you mean the sage's stone:

Well the vague-ish hint is already good enough i think. It says it`s under water. What's the only place that you know that is actually under water?

You can re-enter nautica even after it is "destroyed" once oyu fight the sea monster. Then just ask the queen to turn you into a fish. The stone is on a high ledge south of the general shop. You should see it when swiming just above the town coming from the queen palace.

yeah, thought to look there but I had no idea where to look lol I'm in the 'post' game, I'm trying to get all the quests done that result in me getting a recapie book. Is there a list of all of them, especially for late-game armors/weapons?
