Seriously, people claiming this to be mind control clearly didn't read the dialogue.
There is also a wedding rehearsal where you can practise marriage with any of your party members.
They might include those in the Switch version if that ever comes out, who knows.
Read it again. There is no single mention of a thought being planted in Gemma's head. For the race on the other hand he explicitly states that he did.
You're just wrong on this one.
No you can't. This is a rumor spread by trolls.
Gemma's the only marriage candidate on the 3DS as well. Except there she becomes a guest party member after you marry her.
Honestly I don't want to hate on it as much, but Gemma's not reeeally a character. If anything it feels like there's no guilt in pretty much not choosing to marry her, but the game still wants to pretend you always had a connection despite the fact you only get like 2 items from her that by that point barely have much use, she's never fighting alongside you after Cobblestone, so why should the player care that much? Most of the game I already spent the thought knowing she was dead, having that would've been more impactful in comparison, but instead it's just being written off as almost fan fictional ish story for some nerd to enjoy. It feels wholly tasteless imo.
