Cannot find King squid!

Right, ive been looking for this squid for about an hour now day and night and cannot locate it. Ive looked online and still noting :( anyone got some knowledge for me?

Try night time, North or North West.

if its the monster I think it is, I found 3 of them by casting holy protection on myself and that was the only monster strong enough to show up anyway

all im getting is tentaculars at night at this spot. a faq on gamefaqs suggests weather comes into play. and a google search gives different spots and prerequisite conditions. can any of you confirm or discount this location/weather influence?

also, tried the holy protection thing but it stopped anything spawning. think it does a level check so if you're too high a level then it won't work. you must have been in the sweet spot for it to work.

I find one north west. night time. (it were snowing..but i dont think that counts)
Edit: and another now.. but now its not snowing xD

I only found it north of the world map a few times, while it rained or at night. I was under the influence of Holy Water (Don't pray and drive, guys), and since he was stronger than the rest of the monsters at sea and similar to my level at the time might have been why I kept running into it.
