Best party line-up (post-Dundrasil)
So I recently just unlocked Rab and Jade...

Now with 7 characters, it becomes a lot harder to define what sort of party members I should be running. I think running Erik is a *must* because of his high tier dps, but I might be wrong with Jade joining the party now.

I'm not sure how many mages I should have - but from the looks of things Rab seems to have a combination of white and black magic, which might be more efficient then using both Serena and Veronica? In particular Rab's AOE heal seems really good.

I am thinking of going with Hero, Erik, Rab and Sylvando. Really not too sure where to put Jade, unless I want her to replace DPS of Hero/Erik.

thoughts? in addition I'm wondering which builds to go down for Jade/Rab. probably going for Claws/Enlightenment.

I used to go with Hero-Sylvando-Jade-Veronica/Rab (Veronica for common enemies due to her BANG and BOOM, which hits all and replacing her with Rab for the healing in bossfights).
Sylvando seemed like a better Erik to me, especially after he got the hustle dance heal skill, then again I never really bothered to look what Erik gets :p
Jade's Vacuum Smash (which is one of the ? in the fisticuffs area) is also really good against common grouped junk. :o

It's entirely situational. It depends on the gear you own and your player levels/spells etc. If you're going single target, either poison/sleep with Sylvando or Erik and use whomever has Victimiser or Persecutter to do the damage. Best to just swap characters between the two, not entirely necessary to have both unless you're buffing one or the other. Erik has an easier time to get those 6x skills, so you're probably going to have both out at some point.

Generally speaking though, the best team is most likely Rab Veronica and Sylvando. Jade is really only good for single target and she's not bad pre-certain events. After around the mid-point of the main story, she's basically a wasted slot.

MC-Hendik-Rab-Erik

Best bet is to grab your mass damage characters for mobs, like MC, Rab, and Veronica + anyone else with a Group attack. Rab and Ver can mainly use their Crackle and Boom line spells to hit all enemies, MC can use stuff like Helichopter or Giga to hit groups(or all if Sword)... Just whatever lets you knock enemies down hard and fast.

Boss fights, you'll probly want something like MC-Veronica-Serena or Rab-Jade or Erik. Veronica applies Oomphle and Sap, maybe puts up Magic Barrier. Serena applies Kabuff and Multiheal, maybe Acceleratle if you think evasion is going to help(it doesn't). Rab applies Blunt, Sap, Right as Rain, Multiheal, and maybe Decelerate if their evasion is a problem(it can be). Then you just set the melees to go to town, and maybe get Erik to deal 3000+ damage if he somehow gets poison or sleep to kick in(he rarely does)

I forgot about Erik being able to make dopple gangers. He is insanely powerful if you get the right buffs placed. At level 50 doing well over 3-4k damage.
I've always subscribed to run the characters you like most swap in others if and when you need to. I'm in act 2 currently and honestly most ♥♥♥♥ dies in one hit or at most one full round. Bosses pre act 2 were dying in 2 to 3 hits from the Hero wielding a platinum powersword and the single hit two handed skill you can learn early on. Now they tend to be a little more troublesome but for the most part aren't a real big issue.

Try Draconian Mode. Even with that platinum sword, it takes a few rounds to kill most everything.

It fluctuates throughout the game.

Erik doesn't really shine until post-game, where he becomes a beast.

Yeah i would figure as much otherwise it wouldn't be a hard mode. I'll do draconian mode after my first playthrough and ill rush unbridled blade.

Most of the game, I always ensured to have at least one healing mage in my party on hard mode: Either Rab or Serena. If things get hectic, then I switch with having two healers.

Hero Jade Veronica Erik.
Jade with Polearm. Hero Dual wielding. Erik Daggers.

too bad you're 100% wrong. He does the highest damage in the game unless you count veronica's ability to nuke for all her MP.
