booga fight sucks

Oh well..was a fun game but going to give up at this point. Tried switching items to prevent mp stealing and stuff.. my party is around level 39. Tried 4 times and its making me want to just quit. Tried hoarding mp during the jade fight. Unless there is anything else I should be trying I guess I'm done. Just seems like a total luck fight but with the annoying amount of cut scenes to retry it makes it frustrating.

How much more to the game is there?

Instead of getting MP stealing protection buy some MP recovery items or just carry the ones you get around this part, i was carrying some and it was enough, and of course use your strongest attacks.

I just buffed my hero and had him do the brunt of my dmg with Overhead Swing, Rab was just around for buffs and right as Rain healing and if people were healthy just send him in to just use regular attack or Beezlefreeze. Hendrik for def buff, triage healing, and use MP restoring items items on Rab or my hero(whichever needed it more at the time) if everyone was ok then just send him in for dmg. Sylvando was used for Oomph and para/charm abilities since I use whip on him. Didn't ever have a problem with Booga and I usually go into all fights underleveled and this worked fine for me. Make sure you gear is up to date with reworking if you still seem to be getting pummeled too hard.

There's a lot more to the game. You're just under halfway through the game. Just go grind a few more levels out and it'll be fine, I beat him around the same level you are now but sometimes a cushion of a few levels will help. Make sure to use Kasap to lower his defense, then spam any ability that does multiple hits (Multihit, Falcon Strike, etc) and Booga will go down quickly. Don't neglect buffs and debuffs, they're crucial in every DQ game.
