What happen to gemma? Spoiler alert

So I was back at cobblestone and evrything destroyed....Is all of them are dead? The game just act like the hero doesnt care about gemma

I know it sounds weird, but this is how the Dragon Quest series is: the games never show main character's emotions or their personalities. It's an apprach used in games like Persona 1 and 2 (3 onwards are KINDA like that too in some ways) and Chrono Trigger. I used to hate that, but I guess I got used to it. Dragon Quest 5 is the worst offender in the series: SO MUCH WRONG happens with the main character, and NO emotion is ever shown.

The main character is a black slake: he is never happy, sad, angry, nothing. They want YOU to feel bad for the descruction of the village, like YOU are the main character, and that on the screen is just an avatar.

ANYWAY, just keep playing the game. You'll have your answers eventually.
