Post game boss question

I just fought the black serpent and got destroyed. My party is avering around level 56. Is there a good stratedgy to fight this guy? Its like the spider boss but larger numbers. For reference, his physical attacks do around 240 damage when I have 400 life. Am I just underlevelled/undergeared?

Most of the post game bosses are pretty tough if you're around that level. I entered post game at around level 66 for the MC, but noticed that they do indeed still hit pretty hard.

You might just want to go do some leveling, and craft some better gear. There's a great method to level using the hallelujah + electro light pep powers.

Yeah I think your party is just a bit too weak. The structure of the post game lets you do a lot of things in whatever order you like but the difficulty is still tiered pretty sharply.

You can find Metal King Slimes at the Battleground now and its also a good place to farm Serpent Souls which you will need for materials anyway. I was there until low to mid 60s which pretty much carried through the rest of the post game until the trials.

I think I beat most of the post game bosses though unless theres alot more after Calasmos. Like I believe I only have the black serpent, and the Nautica boss left. I'm not sure if Gallopis City had a boss.

The only way i think that it would work would be with just guarding until you get pep again.

Pep Pips are used in that strat and are bought in the Octogonia casino. You only need to use one per fight, since you can pep everyone naturally except hero who has peps on demand and Jade who uses the Pip item. Even with the hero at level 95 you still get four levels per fight, so 10 Pep Pips should be more than enough to reach lvl99.

which enemies spawn with the metal king slimes there?

I was farming the dragons for serpent souls so I saw them there but I assume they can just piggy back onto any encounter just like usual.
