Occasionally a certain character with what might be my lowest Agility, in a party alongside Jade and Erik, is just like nah guys I'm first this time.
Sometimes a boss just takes a 3 action turn and is like I think Ill do it again y'all mind.
Turn order is somewhat randomized, so Jade and Erik will usually go first, but not always. Like a "rolling for initiative" sort of system.
The same is true for other truly powerful enemies, like certain Dragons and such, they might also be capable of multiple actions per turn -- and Erik can perform at least the same action three times per turn with one of his abilities, plus there are a few weapons that allow for two attacks per turn (per weapon if dual-wielding two of them).
@OP
Defense is Physical Defense, against regular attacks -- Resilience is how protected you are from magical damage as well as status anomalies.
Most of that is explained ingame though, try the Misc menu.
I'm aware, that's why I said he did it again. As in the boss took its normal 3 action turn, pepped up, and then took another 3 action turn.
Technically it was a midboss style enemy for a quest but whatever he had boss action counts.
just like with crit it might be a % random chance , so first turn might be agilty x roll something etc.
