I cant use the Executioner move...

I have both attacks.I found this text but i still need help.

Don Rodrigo will direct you to The Kingsbarrow to defeat two golden giants and snag a legendary weapon. Sylvando and Hendrik must defeat each one with a Pep Move known as The Executioner. To access the move, Sylv needs to know Metal Slash (Sword) and Hendrik must know Hatchet Man (Axe)."

In case you haven't figured it out yet, both Hendrik and Sylvando have to be pepped up and Hendrik is the one that can perform it
Beware using it is not enough, it must be the finishing blow (not sure if for both or just the last)

Only Hendrik needs pep. I killed both with it by waiting and using it twice so I don't know what happens if you kill only one.

And the obvious, knowing the spells isn't enough, you have to have the correct weapons equipped as well. Can't use AXE techniques while rocking the 2 HANDED SWORD, etc.

You don't need the weapon types equipped.

I imagine (but am not 100% sure) that Sylv would at least need to be in the active party as well, but as others have said only Hendrik needs to be pepped up assuming you have both moves learned; I just completed this quest earlier

LOL! No you don't. Pep powers work regardless of what weapons you have equipped. Please try playing the game before responding.

So unfortunately you need to either kill the second one with executioner, or both. I killed only one and it forced me to redo the trial.
You apparently can MISS with it as well... heads up. Wasted all my pep-pips on this.

Hendrik and Sylvando killed the last remaining giant with Executioner, but still got the message that we didn't kill them correctly. I don't remember if it was Hendrik or Sylvando who initiated the pep power, as I didn't think it mattered - but maybe it did matter. I'll have to try it again, and have Hendrik start Executioner (as Griselgor suggested here).
