Get the PC port or the Switch version?

Hey guys,

Would you guys recommend getting the PC or Switch version of this game? Is the PC version clunky to control? Does it at least have full mouse support?

I've got the Switch version and for now it is the best version.
- Japanese Voiceovers
- 2D Mode
- Orchestral Music instead of Synthesized Music
- Extra Character Story Quests
- The ability to do crafting anywhere
- Able to wear the costume you prefer and STILL enjoy the stats of the armor that you want.
- And much more.

My recommendation is to hold out for 1 more year to see if Squeenix
will release the Definitive Edition for PC. If you can't wait that long,
than I highly recommend getting the Switch version than.
Its a really good JRPG, i feel its right up there together with Chrono Trigger.

I'll re-buy Definitive Edition if it comes to Steam, i'd love to be able to mod the game. :D

The PC version is an incomplete version of the game (little ghost-like creatures roam around with no purpose in this edition) and lacks all of the QoL improvements of the Switch version.

Meanwhile the Switch version while having all the updates and additions is lacking visually as the graphics are downgraded in comparison.

Would be sweet if we would eventually get DQ8 and DQ11 "Definitive" Editions on another platform that didn't result in visual downgrades compared to the originally released versions. Kind of hard to give it the "Definitive" title if it's not truly "definitive" in every aspect.

It's a shame. I'd really love to buy DQ11 on PC, but I'm not gonna buy an incomplete game. Let's hope SE get their act together and give us the missing features.

The PC version has better graphics, but lacks the new features that comes with the Definitive Edition on the Switch. As someone that played PC first. The graphics is a dissapointment. I would like to see a Definitive Edition DLC for the PC version. But who knows if that will happen.

Wouldn't it be profitable for Square Enix to bring the Switch bonus content & features to PC as DLC?

Heck, I'd pay like 10 bucks for this when they would release it as a purchasable DLC.
I don't understand why this is still not a thing, even months after the Switch version has been released there's no sign of a DLC for the PC version of DQ XI.

I guess they don't need our hard earned gamer money right now. SE are rich. Now they hate money. lololol

Every self-respecting person should not buy this. I regret buying this game, but I bought it at release day. SQENIX conveniently didn't announce Switch version until after this version was released. It's greedy bait and switch.

It's not a bait and switch at all. They advertised a product and a year later they came out with another product.

So it's still fine to get this version if you don't have or plan to buy a switch right? Or is it so much worse than the switch version that I shouldn't even bother buying it at all? Game is hardly on sale so just curious.

Yea it sounds nice, those extra things on the switch but do you really want to play at 720p 30fps?
Instead of 4k 60fps?? The switch struggles to compete with 04\06 PC hardware still.

I would give up those things to be able to actually see the game and not just look at a bunch of artifacts\aliasing from the low res.

But the english voice overs are horrible. Can you mute them since ♥♥♥ is unavailable?

Hope they eventually will release these contents on PC. I still can enjoy this game, but would love to marry with any waifu.
