Does the ingame soundtrack ever change?

I just started the game, and i usually never complain about ingame music. But what the hell, the music while exploring is really working on my nerves. I've only been playing for like 2 hours, and i already wanna mute the music. Does it change? Or does it always stay this same soundtrack?

Just lower it to volume 1 and never bother again. Music is definitely DQ XI's weakest point.

Look on the community hub for the orchestral mod. It helps a lot.
