About the most emotion that I've seen come from him is his yell during the Buff-Buff pep power...haha
For instance, Dragon Quest VIII hero was also silent but very expressive. That is how it should be done. I grew attached to that hero in particular because you can relate to him unlike what happens here in DQ XI. It's a shame.
That said, I found almost everyone else pretty charming.
it kinda reminds me of final fantasy 10, where every other character was way cooler than the MC. but at least Tidus was a little cry baby that had emotions, which is still countless times better than the luminary who cant even shed a single tear.
edit: the only thing that could fix this if you were to tell me that his emotions/soul was stolen back when he was a baby lol
