Question about losing luminary powers.
So i'm at the point in the game where you go to Helidor castle with Hendrick to fight a boss. What I don't get is how can the main character call upon the yggdrisil root in the castle if he lost his Luminary powers? I don't get this at all seeing how his power was stolen from him and you also can't access the Luminary skills at that point either.

Well this is about as spoilery as you can get, even the topic title is a spoiler.

As to how it's possible? Well I'm not to that point in the game yet (thanks for that btw), but I'd wager a guess that the answer is something along the lines of "Welcome to the wonderful world of plot holes."

It's actually explained a bit later. You will find out. And no, I won't go into details as to when or where to intentionally avoid posting spoilers.

Because he didnt lose them due to deus ex machina, turns out he just has to believe hard enough for it to appear. Mordegon took smth from him for the sake of plot convenience

Agreed. I have already progressed further than this point but this is bang-on spoiler territory lol.

Spoilers:

Yeah, I personally really enjoyed the game until just after the major event cutscene. It was such a powerful buildup for a jrpg I thought, and then just went full shenanigans, again like a jrpg.

Even the events after that major event. Reuniting with your foster mother and Gemma seemed so dull. It just kind of happened like no big deal.

The biggest thing for me however, was the crap with the world tree. It was supposedly the most important element in the game's world, yet after the events I really questioned it's purpose considering it was practically destroyed and all leaves were gone, yet everyone was OK?

Agree! Like WTF? Everyone still lived even though it has been said that the leafs were basically every living beings soul. If the leafs fall/die then that person dies.
