Woah its the crafting system from DQX! I <3 it .. hit a Scale Armor +3 on first attempt..

For those who wonder where it comes from: Dragon Quest 10, the japanese only DQ MMO .. +3 is best and pretty rare there.. wonder how its in DQXI .. anyone else got a +3 item yet? Report pls..

Yeah, I farmed mats until everything I have so far is +3. It usually takes 2-3 tries, so not super rare, at least with low level recipes.

Crafting system is so much fun indeed, and also very generous. You never feel the usual bottleneck of gold for upgrading in other DQ games.

So far I've been able to craft several +3, it's a bit of a guessing game but it's rather easy when you get the hang of it. At the moment : Iron Broadsword +, Scale shield +3, Divine dagger +3, Bronze Sword +3

Thx for report.. I see then they upped the chance to get +3 seriously from DQX .. makes sense for a single player game.

I'm having a odd time finding materials early on and wish I had a guide to find recipes ><
but it is fun trying to get the perfect item cx

Glad it's less clunky to navigate than DQVIII's alchemy. Total pain going through page after page of items and slowly selecting them.

Not that hard to pull off with the early recipes at least.

Also, since you can just keep trying to upgrade stuff and can't get downgrades that way, everything will be +3 eventually if you want it to. You get the star on the recipe regardless of how you get to +3.

I spent most of my time finding/stealing materials to make most of it. Also, Falcon Knife and another knife plus Assassin go well on Eric. I have his knives set up so he crits every 2-3 turns. Does decent damage even without it, but I have seen 2 crits on a string of 3 attacks. Poor Metal Babble...
