xbox controller not working

Go into the steam settings in the top left of the steam app. Disable big picture overlay in the in game settings. Unplug the controller and plug it back in. That worked for me

Nothings changed for me when I do this. If I press LT the game's camera rotates without stopping unless I unplug it and plug it back in. The right stick doesn't work correctly.

Works great for me. The issues you have sound like your controller is messed up. Do you have any other controller software installed? Any enhancers?

look all my other games work fine. Every single other one. No enhancers or anything else going on. I just have my controller and the game and its not working.

It's a computer program. It works the same for everyone - it has to. If your controller is not working, and everyone elses is, then it's not the program - Something is wrong in your system or with your controller.
Usually when a controller spins when you start a game, it's because the stick was pushing when it was initialized. Or something is interfering.

working fine with the xbox one controller here.

--make sure you don't do like I did once, and had a different style controller still connected.. That caused me an hour of headaches and weird issues until I realized I had a PS2 controller connected that had fallen down under the desk and I had forgotten about!--

Then why do all my other games work bro? I just tested several other games and they all work fine.

I fire the game up normally like every other game I have, and the first sign something is wrong is the dpad doesn't work. Can't move the menu can only tap A. Then when I get in the game the right stick doesn't work and pressing LT causes the camera to move nonstop.

I don't have any issue like this in ANY other game.

I had the same problem the first time a booted the game. Here's what I did.

1. I make sure my controller is connected
2. I launch the game
3. I go to the keyboard/controller option.
4. I selected tthe reset to default option.
5. And that's it! My controller was working for some reason after that...

i only have this xbone controller and my keyboard in. I can't even navigate the menus without the keyboard because the controller doesn't work right.

ive tried with it on and tried with it off. It makes no difference.
