How to optimize graphics and performance for this game?
I've been playing for a while, and I've been trying to run this at 60 fps at any resolution, but the game simply won't do it. I'm not sure if this is something I can control with in-game settings or Steam launch options, but nothing seems to work. Occasionally I will open the game and it runs at 60 fps, but other times it doesn't, and I haven't changed any settings.

What your spec?

Unfortunately you have to tweak your resolution as other settings don't really do much.

Oh well... Found out what the problem is. Fullscreen creates problems (on windows 11 btw). Minimal settings but full screen makes the game skip audio, giving audio off sync, freeze for a few dozen seconds constantly. Borderless, max settings runs smooth as butter.

mine sometimes freezes on battles for a few seconds(but music keeps on playing). i'll try your borderless suggestion and hope it fixes that problem

i tried borderless but it still persists. so i just set it back to fullscreen 1920x1080 and i'm playing on low settings (almost all graphics options are turned off). my specs are GTX 1650, Ryzen 5 3600 and 16gb and i'm on Windows 10. i've read that using a controller(i'm using a DS4 controller btw) causes this problem but i can't find any solution besides just using a keyboard. i hope someone can help me

At first i did get a ton of stutter and whatnot like i said earlier to the point the game was unplayable. At that time, i did use full screen.
After a while, borderless started doing the same... less but enough to make me want to Atl F4 more times than i have games on steam in under an hour.

With my setup (more info on my profile), that game is not a big deal.

For instance i can run Elden Ring, Steelrising, Resident Evil 8, Death stranding, Control, DOOM, DOOM Eternal... all of these run smooth at 120-165fps depending on the title (aside from Steelrising and Elden Ring). PS4 can't, still, it can run Tales of Arise perfectly fine but my setup can't...
I tried your suggestion (which makes gameplay a pain for me because i played all previous titles of the series with a controller).

Could be a problem with windows 11 idk...
I read elsewhere that it is because of NVIDIA High Definition Audio meaning my screen would be an issue in itself.

I tried remote play with screen on/off, on a Galaxy S9 but immediately it makes a painful noise that i'm concerned might kill my phone basically (never happened before, only this game).

Clearly i should have no problem running it maxed but i do.

By the way, i did try your suggestion of min settings but it does not change anything nor do the sound modes (mono/stereo/surround).

Right now, i don't know what to do/think about it. It was my GOTY 2021 choice hands down despite the fact that i really enjoy Assassin's Creed Valhalla based on PS4 versions. The steam version is so far not something i can in good faith (btw, gotta change my review back to negative because i didn't update since problems seem to be solved... for a few minutes.

Nobody tried DXVK with this ? Maybe that helps.

I play it with a geforce mx130 (2gb vram) + 8 gb ram at a stable 30 fps

I highly doubt about Elden Ring running at more than 60 fps... because the game is locked at 60 fps

Hold on, feels like déjà vu... right, ASIDE STEELRISING AND ELDEN RING.

Oops.
Maybe it was not a good idea posting a reply at roughly 3am buddy...
