2) if you've beaten ganabelt after only 6 hours then you've been majorly rushing through the game and avoiding all pieces of side content and skits
No, you are just very slow. No offend, enjoy the game at your pace.
No, the pace this guy is playing it is just absurdly quick. The only way he's past the second lord in under 10 hours is playing on the lowest difficulty and skipping every piece of side content there is.
This is a 'Tales of' games. Of course your little adventure of friendship and freedom while turn into a monumental high-stake world-ending odyssey. The five Lords are just the first-half of the game
So the answer is, you will end-up with a lot more story, gameplay turn a lot more enjoyable with a full party and enjoying the skits (bone and meat of this game franchise really) will give you plenty to enjoy
Depending on your skill, pace, whether you listen to every single skit or not, you could clear it faster than I did, but assuming you listen to EVERY skit, every cutscene, etc., 60 hours is pretty spot-on.
Of course if you skip all the side content and don't bother with skits, and even skip some cutscenes, then yeah, you'll be done in 20-25 hours.
I'll never understand people that rush through everything and then complain "GaMe ToO ShoRt"
Not counting post-game I figure I've got another 10ish hours but I could finish the story basically right now if I wanted to.
I started off listening to the full VA of the skits but they've already become too dry/repetitive and info-dump most of the time (to me...), and there are SO MANY of them, so I started speeding it up, since I can read 10x or more faster than the VA can finish speaking.
Mind, I don't think I'm going to be super-speedy like the TC or some others - I tend to like to linger and look at scenery and take oodles of screenshots that sucks up time and all of that - but even only reading/speeding up skits in that fashion has sped up "time" a lot on its own. Still, I'm not seeing this being a particularly long game even for slow-poke me. If I lingered less it would speed up even more. And yes, I do all sidequests/owls and clear maps as I go along etc.
