60 hours of main story? how ??
i just arrived at the third area after killing the second lord, and i have only played for 6 hours it says. how in the hell can it say that i still have 54 hours left with only 3 more lords?? is there a huge plot twist after killing the lords? just wanna know if its really true that killing the lords isnt all there is about the game because at this point it would only take me 10 hours more in total

supposedly there is a decent bit after the lords part of the story. Im at the cusp of the post-lord portion and im at like 60 hours (adjusted from afk hours) Im doing all sidequests and such though. And playing on hard which means more wipes.

When they give numbers like that, they always mean an average player going at an average pace. You're rushing like mad. If you keep up the same pace you'll probably have 30-40 hours played unless you stop to do sidequests. You're nowhere near halfway done after the second lord. 10 more hours is impossible unless you skip literally everything skippable, and even then it's unlikely.

Second lord at 6 hours? Are you playing on story mode? Maybe you also bought the +5/+10 level DLCs. I defeated the second lord at 21 hours and, now, I just defeated the 4th after 45. Maybe you just need to stop rushing the main story and do something else.
I'm 34 hours in. No dlc. Normal mode. I clear every map 100%. I do as many sidequests as I can. I'm missing some of the zeugal huntings sidequests because...yikes. I just passed the 4th lord.

1) The game goes on for quite a while after defeating the lords

2) if you've beaten ganabelt after only 6 hours then you've been majorly rushing through the game and avoiding all pieces of side content and skits

No, you are just very slow. No offend, enjoy the game at your pace.

No, the pace this guy is playing it is just absurdly quick. The only way he's past the second lord in under 10 hours is playing on the lowest difficulty and skipping every piece of side content there is.

OP ask ''is there a huge plot twist after killing the lords? just wanna know if its really true that killing the lords isnt all there is about the game ''
This is a 'Tales of' games. Of course your little adventure of friendship and freedom while turn into a monumental high-stake world-ending odyssey. The five Lords are just the first-half of the game
So the answer is, you will end-up with a lot more story, gameplay turn a lot more enjoyable with a full party and enjoying the skits (bone and meat of this game franchise really) will give you plenty to enjoy

The game took me 54 hours to FULL CLEAR (100% everything done, all achievements). I was paying on Hard for most of the game but switched down for a few fights that annoyed me early on before I figured out how to break the game.

Depending on your skill, pace, whether you listen to every single skit or not, you could clear it faster than I did, but assuming you listen to EVERY skit, every cutscene, etc., 60 hours is pretty spot-on.

Of course if you skip all the side content and don't bother with skits, and even skip some cutscenes, then yeah, you'll be done in 20-25 hours.

This sounds like a case of "i skipped everything skippable", Just eh CS alone should take 1 or 2 hours...
I'll never understand people that rush through everything and then complain "GaMe ToO ShoRt"

Sounds like you are rushing. I got to where you are at the 17 hour mark, playing on hard. Currently at 22 hours, and only just started the 3rd region (got to the capital). Based on what people are saying, the game will likely take me 70-80 hours to complete.

I finished the whole game (side quests and every achievement) in about 40 hours. But keep in mind I skipped every skit and cut scene because I'm going to watch all that in my 2nd run.

I think that's around the same speed I was going and I'm in the middle of the final dungeon right now at 78 hours playtime. Dunno how long the dungeon will be but I can't imagine it's much more than 2 more hours. I still have some side content to finish up though, namely the spirit shrine stuff, finishing the item collection, and arena.

Not counting post-game I figure I've got another 10ish hours but I could finish the story basically right now if I wanted to.

Yeah, those skits are going to suck up a lot of time if one actually sits through all the voice-acting. I've been playing all of them in case I would "miss" anything if I didn't, but I have subtitles on and read those and hit "next" in rapid succession to greatly speed those up.

I started off listening to the full VA of the skits but they've already become too dry/repetitive and info-dump most of the time (to me...), and there are SO MANY of them, so I started speeding it up, since I can read 10x or more faster than the VA can finish speaking.

Mind, I don't think I'm going to be super-speedy like the TC or some others - I tend to like to linger and look at scenery and take oodles of screenshots that sucks up time and all of that - but even only reading/speeding up skits in that fashion has sped up "time" a lot on its own. Still, I'm not seeing this being a particularly long game even for slow-poke me. If I lingered less it would speed up even more. And yes, I do all sidequests/owls and clear maps as I go along etc.
