Most of my money goes toward the CP gels, which I fill to full every time I see a vendor. Both the 3000 and 9000 gald versions. Every single time.
I don't know why anyone thinks money is hard to get in this game. Eat item drop meals when you sleep and keep your battle chain meter blue as much as possible then sell any excess materials, which you will have in an absurd abundance.
I play on Moderate.
If you are chewing through Life bottles odds are you aren't giving Shionne a chance to revive people and just aiming for that instant revival. In addition to this and if you are struggling with the CP to support this then you probably aren't camping/resting properly, either. I can securely say this as someone who is using only the Ore Rarity food and not foods that heal or recover CP, as I haven't needed them but did test and they work very well.
If you are still struggling then you probably need to lower the difficulty as was prior mentioned by others. After buying all armor/weapons I still have enough money left over it seems in each realm to stock up on consumables if I really needed.
If you properly turned their usage off in AI behavior(outside of bossfights) then I don't think you should run out of them.
especialy the more expensive stuff.
but tbh. later on you make more cash than you could ever spend; keep up the chain-bonus (or use happies) and look for mobs dropping high value parts.
forget fishing. it's not bad, but it can't hold a candle to grind-running specific areas (and you also earn SP, EP, and mastery)
but yeah as already said i think they for one of the first times, made the items as pricy as they should be so its not a complete cakewalk. i also love that battles dont just give money per se, because it didnt make any sense anyways. rather the materials they drop should net in money.
It's balanced the way it is because they're selling straight up shop % discounts in their DLC. All that discount they sell combined in different packs would bring the price of the items back to roughly the same price as it was in older Tales games.
Sell your excess materials. This isn't complicated. If you want to farm money, eat some eastern rice if you can, wear loot drop accessories, and keep your battle chain meter blue.
I'd choose to instead argue its because of the revamped battle system and the existance of CP. Its pointless if you have infinity consumables. In the older games you could spam heal much more readily so a billion gels didnt matter. Dlc concerns were probably secondary and an easy way to profit off lazy people.
