It is true that the in-game language (texts, menus, etc.) is tied to the OS language?
Like, i have my OS with PT-BR language but i like to play games in english. If i buy this i will need to change my OS to english everytime i decide to play the game? Why? Why do this in a game in 2021?

Uh...change it from your steam_emu .ini file or something.

The legit steam version allows you to change language in "properties."

That is probably true for consoles, in steam you can change it before starting the game.

I mean, I would assume if they were playing a pirated copy they wouldn't need to ask this question since they could just launch the game and find out. And they sound like they want to know before buying.

You could be right that they're pirating it but from what I've read there's no reason to assume that, and they certainly haven't "exposed" themselves doing it. Unless I'm missing something?

Most likely the smart steam emu or whatever crack he used defaulted the language to system language. And he didn't see language option in game.

Not that I would know exactly how that works since I never used said crack.

What? I may be from a third world country but i pay for my games, although this one is very expensive for me. You can't just go around accusing people like that. This language thing happened in the console version. inform yourself.

Maybe, but that's just pure speculation. I prefer to give people the benefit of the doubt and I just don't see how OP "exposed" themselves as a pirate with their post. It isn't even the most likely explanation as far as I can tell. It's more likely they got some false information from somewhere or misinterpreted something.

If he had legit steam version, he could have checked "properties" and see language options.

I'm not saying there's anything wrong with him pirating the game to see if it's worth the money.
Considering the nature of the dlcs...he really should have.

I just got the answer for my question. I've asked the question because in the discussions i've seen about the console version, the language was tied to the language of the system of the console.
Also, i reported you and the other user for false accusing me of pirating the game.

I reported you for being butthurt for no reason.

Yes, i come in the discussion forum of a game i have interest of buying, i ask a simple question and then get attacked by two users accusing me of having an illegal copy of the game and this is "no reason". right. You probably saw that i'm from Brazil and thinks that everyone in here don't buy games, prejudice plain and simple. Anyway, this is in Valve's hands now.

Maybe you need to read the OP again. There's no reason to think he has any version of the game, legit or otherwise. Some vague idea of how you think one type of crack might work combined with idle speculation as to why he may have made the post based on that same vague and unproven idea is not what I would call compelling evidence. Or evidence at all for that matter.

It's a bit like thinking you've hit a bullseye while blindfolded in the dark when you're not even sure whether there's a target in the first place or not.

Theres a free demo on the steam page anyone can try, also the pirated version comes in german by default.
