Some of the DLC artes are good but not needed to beat the game
If you want the game to be easier just lower the difficulty you lose nothing for doing so.
The artes you get in the base game are more than enough. The game wasn't made with the DLC titles in mind. The DLC artes are costume related bonus fluff on top of an already amazing game for people who like that kind of stuff.
Her two DLC artes includes a multi-hit wind attack and a multi-hit light attack, which were helpful when I first started using her.
Eventually you do unlock enough artes to the point that the DLC artes are just nice extras.
It restricts his ability to function as a support character and an alternative healer to Shionne.
Said skill trees provide
1 unique arte
3 passive skills
and 1 capstone passive
for each title (18)
So effectively
18 unique arts
54 passive skills (majority of which stack)
and 18 capstone passives
are locked behind a $30.00 paywall and said skill trees/titles cannot be obtained in game in ANY way.
That said none of them are required to beat the game (even on hardest difficulty)
But it's easily the most scummy anti-consumer DLC they have done in a tales game.
