New Characters/Content?

This is my first "Tales of ..." game, and was wondering if they've ever done, or ever spoken about, adding DLC characters to the game? It low-key bothers me that I have two open party member slots, but nothing to fill it with. So I was kinda hoping maybe they'd add characters later in the game? Do they even add DLC content other than outfits and stuff? Like story related DLC? Just figured I'd give it an ask if any veteran players might know. Thanks in advance.

there was exactly one dlc story for zestiria, and it mostly focused on a pre-existing character. the only time they've added characters is in re-releases of a game, on a different system. vesperia on ps3 added new characters, and new story beats inside the already existing story, but just in the base game. that was pretty much a one time thing. graces f on ps3 added a post game, and... party 'options,' not new characters per se. also pretty much a one-time thing.

other than those, the games as they come out are in their finished state.

the only time we have gotten dlc characters was zestria because of fan outcry for one of the "tutor" people who help you along the way to be added as a full party member and not just for that section , or adding 1 or 2 in a definitive edition but no they don't do story or character dlcs usually and i believe pre release they stated it was an all in one package that will get no further story content

They already said no DLC content is planned.

Hope they fix the dumb technical issues at the very least if there isn't going to be any DLC.
