This game is suddenly launching on my secondary monitor rather than my primary and I don't understand why
See title. I can work around it by pressing alt+enter while the game is on my secondary monitor, then drag it over to my primary monitor and pressing alt+enter again. Then, I can change the resolution of the game back to 1440p from 1080p (my secondary monitor has a lower resolution than my primary).

Anyone have any ideas on why this is happening or how I can fix it? Thanks in advance

Had the same issue. What worked for me Was setting the secondary Monitor as primary, and then switch it back to the original configuration before starting the game.

From then on, every time I started it, it started on the correct Monitor.

Were you able to do anything to fix it? I think if I launched from Big Picture mode, that might help, but that's less than the ideal of it just working how it normally did, and should, work

Shift + Windows + Arrow in the direction of the right monitor

and then after ingame see if there is a way to set main monitor

Shift + Windows + Arrow didn't seem to do anything and there is no ingame setting for monitors. Even Big Picture goes to the secondary monitor

its what works for me in valhalla the only other thing i can say is double check your monitor preference in windows see which one is marked with "make this my main display"

Yeah, I made sure that my monitors were set correctly in Windows, and other games on Steam launch properly. I guess I'll just have to deal with alt + enter and dragging the window over for now.

Mysterious behavior since the game was fine yesterday, dunno what could have happened to cause this

This worked for me! I had to set my secondary monitor as primary, launch the game, quit the game, set my primary monitor back to primary, and now the game is launching properly. Thanks!

Lets hope it stays that way. I never figured out what could've caused it. My guess is some graphic driver update that somehow messed with stuff but not sure.

I think that when I try to play the game on my Steam Link, that's what causes the monitor swapping. I just got done with a Steam Link play session and the game was running on my secondary monitor. I had to do the monitor swapping process again to get it to launch on my primary monitor again.

So it's either something to do with Steam Link or possibly Big Picture Mode.
