The SOA stuff is just clever money grab marketing so it being standalone is not surprising. I don't expect it to be the final one like this, either. In-game you can also earn lots of exp/sp/etc. bonus artifact unlocks so aside from the cosmetics the other stuff is truly quite moot, tbh. The cosmetics can be nice if you are into that. I liked Alphen, Rinwell, and Do's base outfits from the DLC, not so much the others, and Shionne gets some different hair from her default (bad imo, mentioning because others have taken problem with her hair being kind of... poorly done, too). However, they all get good extra outfits/and recolors in the base game, especially Shionne and Alphen who get really good ones.
So if you wanted only one or two of of the costumes, for example, I'd just buy them separately as it'd be cheaper than the "ultimate" edition or whatever.
Three of the outfits for both male and females (beach, school life, and warrior states I think?) come with 3 Titles (a set of skills or passive bonuses, one per costume type, and you still have to spend a lot of SP to fill them out), none of which are needed. Except for the one that give Dohalim an AoE heal, I didn't find any of the other stuff given by those DLC Titles (for the guys, I didn't buy the gal's ones) very interesting or useful.
So yeah.
Oh...if you're a hoarder, the DLC that allows 99 consumable stacking might appeal (you can use/install only that aspect and ignore/not install the others it comes with)- otherwise you might occasionally find yourself unable to pick up/store some stuff you come across, but that can also "break" the game in the sense of being able to have so many (at least late game) it would take away challenge etc. So depends on you.
Edit: I bought the 99 consumables, for some reason thinking it would be good for a general hoarder like myself, cause I hate not being able to pick stuff up, but in the end I hardly used consumables most of the time anyway, and the ores and other materials will stack to 99 by default already, so I consider that sort of a waste of five bucks lol.
