Steam Deck compatibility
Does anyone else experience lag to the point of it being unplayable despite being verified?

Hi there. I had the same problems, but after tweaking the settings, the game now runs mostly stable:

Before starting the game, go to properties and change the resolution to 1024x640. The in game resolution is still 1200x800 by default and you don’t notice any difference on the Decks small screen.

After starting the game, press the steam button and go to the battery icon.
- Change framerate limit to 50
- change refresh rate to 50

^You can tick the box “use per game profile” first, so other games do not use these settings. It saves time in changing the settings every time you play a different game.

In the game’s own settings, go to graphics settings and change the following:
- Turn VSync off
- Turn Motion Blur off
- set anti-aliasing to TAA only
- set shadow quality to low
- set anisotropic filtering to low
- turn depth of field off (I noticed skits still had a bit of lag, this improves that slightly)

The game should now run at a stable FPS of 50, except for a split second after entering a new area. If you want, you could turn reflections off for an even more stable FPS.

I just tested it: turning VSync off doesn’t do that much. My game still hits about 48-51 FPS, so turning VSync off isn’t necessary.

Thank you, and apologies for delayed reply. These changes seemed to help quite a bit, though having tried a few other larger verified games, I suspect there's more of an underlying issue with Steam. Scarlet Nexus (not *as* bad, but split second reactions just aren't viable) and just tried Spiderman: Miles Morales and it's horribly choppy, unplayable even, and changing graphics to low didn't seem to improve anything. It's got me wondering if the issues are connected to the OLED release.

Fussing aside, I changed framerate, but didn't see refresh rate in the same section? Or did I misunderstand something?

edit:
Other games that were more or less fine as of a couple months ago or so:
Judgement / Lost Judgement (Verified)
Ghostwire Tokyo (Verified)
Baldur's Gate 3 (Verified)
Like a Dragon: Ishin (Verified)
KoA: Re-Reckoning (Verified)
Tales of Berseria (Unsupported)
Ni No Kuni I and II (Verified)
