Just finished DLC and completed ALL the achievements

That said, there could be some spoilers in the thread. I bought the game on another account. Ask me anything gameplay related. I couldn't care less for the story. I skipped through all the dialogue. It took me about 10 hours to do everything. I played on Chaos for the first few hours and then changed it to normal.

Some noteworthy things I'll point out:
1.) There are 40 sidequests (and exactly 40 if you don't count the EX one) and the EX one is completely separate, but it's broken up into 4 parts. The 12 character quest achievement is part of the 40 sidequests. And yes, the sidequests are dreadful fetch quests with one of them being a bit ambiguous. You need to get these titanium vambraces and you need to use Dolahim's boost assist or whatever it's called on the enemy and then kill them (you'll know because their feet turn green once they've been hit by his root attack).

On a side note: There are these quests where the NPC asks you to get 3x or 5x of something. Some of these you can just buy from the merchant, so don't waste your time trying to farm them. Drop rate is so weird for some of these.

2.) Combat is the same. Literally nothing changed. I'm sure you've seen the reviews. You start at level 65 and work your way up with most of your skills unlearned.

3.) No new characters or skills.

4.) You do get your devil arms back at the very end (literally before the final boss fight if you do the optional part of the last dungeon), and I think the stats did carry over because Alphen's was like 800 in stats whereas the other ones were only around 300.

5.) You get your original white costume for Alphen/Shionne from doing that quest I mentioned in 1.)

6.) I think this expansion is for people who just want to see the new character dialogue/interactions because there's a lot of it.

7.) Your fishing lures and stuff all get carried over, but your enemy info/fish info are all reset. Why is this important? Because there are 2 sidequests that require one boss fish each (so 2 in total).

8.) There is a NG+ for the expansion, but I think it's pointless. And they give you back those artifacts that allow you to carry over just about everything (equipment, SP, enemy info, items, etc.)

9.) There's one achievement that's like the leap of faith thing. It's almost impossible to miss, but I suppose you could. You'll know when you see it.

10.) Arms Master is from 2nd dungeon. Make sure you collect all 6 of the new weapons. Otherwise you gotta go back and it's just tedious. And then well yeah you have to upgrade them.

11.) For the final dungeon, I would just explore every nook and cranny because one of the achievements is tied to exploration. You have to find pictures of everyone and make sure you actually view them.

12.) Everything else is story related except beating that Sword Master guy from the training arena. Just 2 phase fight. Put the game on very easy and get it over with.

13.) None of the achievements is tied to difficulty.

14.) Not worth $30. Just wait for a sale (like more than 50% off). Imagine the base game with just more boring fetch quests and I guess another long and boring dungeon with the same reskinned enemies.

By the way, I'm one of those players that explores everything. I think if you just rush through everything, you could do everything in 5-6 hours.

Im pretty sure it carries the amount of enemies defeated based on the expansion data because if stats did carry over from the main game data, my Alphen would've had 6000 attack stat but didnt.

Also I dont think that enemy info/fish info are that important since the boss fish can be bought from king owl in the owl forest.

Oh I didn't know that about the boss fish. Didn't take too long since I had all the fishing equipment, but yeah buying it would've been way better.

And about the devil arms, that makes sense!
