Various drivers and firmware conflict with each other when using this controller.
First, this controller has an official driver, which is probably already installed and running on your PC. This driver is not always necessary to make your controller works in certain games, especially if you are using DS4 Windows. But even if you do NOT use DS4 Windows, then there is Steam's firmware for the controller that can cause issues as well. Many games will behave differently based on the driver and firmware you are using.
From my personal experience, GTA V really hated DS4 Windows, so I had to play with Steam's firmware and disable the official driver for the controller through "Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Devices and Printers". And for Far Cry 5, I had to disable DS4 Windows AND Steam firmware and enable the official driver to be able to drive around and shoot properly. Elite Dangerous worked flawlessly with DS4 Windows but totally hated the default driver and was also fine with Steam's firmware.
If you see two or three different inputs that are constantly switched from Xbox to PlayStation or keyboard input, then that means you have to disable DS4 Windows. Or sometimes, this could just be the Steam overlay messing things up.
Long story short, you always have to disable 2 of 3 things before finally enjoying your games. I am sorry to say this, but PlayStation controllers suck on PC. I am glad I got rid of mine.
Actually DS4 Windows is no longer necessary for actual DS4 controllers. Used mine for effectively five years without any issues before switching for another reason. Games that had PS icons even recognized and properly set them. If anything using DS4 Windows AND Steam settings combined probably is causing issues. Use one or the other. I recommend Steam as DS4 Windows just makes the controller be interpreted as an xbox controller and doesn't give you the correct icons. At least when I last used it that was the case.
Unfortunately Dualsense doesn't seem to have the same support yet. Usually it gets interpreted as Xbox input still.
no its not bad i ran the game on a ps4 controller 0 issues
