It's a lame song, but what bothers me is that it's SO FREAKING LOUD. Not just loud in general but that it also immediately STARTS loud; if there was even a five second intro there'd be time to skip it before it pierces your ears. I literally don't put my headphones on until I'm past it.
Although, thinking about it, music is one area where I don't feel Tales has ever excelled. A few songs stick out occasionally, enough that I remember them, but nothing I really want to buy and listen to.
It's not as good as the original Dragon's Dogma intro rock song, but it's pretty good.
Please never change, Japan : )
Then mute it. You people are complaining about something that's not even an issue to most people. You're arguing over subjective material. It's asinine. lol
I will say to the OP, the FULL song starts out way better. Sounds like something that should belong to a top anime: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y7bV6NWTZWA
However if they don't like it still, then I am just going to go out on a limb and say they don't like most japanese music.
I'm not the OP, but why? Does all Japanese music sound the same to you? I like lots of Japanese OSTs. I like some of their metal. I don't like generic buttrock, in any language, and I don't understand when games have utterly different, mainstream music as their intro instead of, you know, a really good, original song to suck me into the game world. Tales needs a theme like the Prelude from Final Fantasy. I also don't like most western music these days either, to be clear.
