How do people feel that the next Tales of game is mobile only?
For me I am hoping that it will be a paid game with a full story in it but that is most likely not going to be the case. Its going to be F2P with micro transactions (more than likely) and why they're doing it this way is beyond me.

I don't think it will be a mobile game. They had done 2 mobiles recently, and both failed and closed down shortly after. If you are talking the new Tales of Arise trademark recently, my best guess is either a DLC story for this game or maybe an Anime special

Oh, you mean this one, Luminaria? This game already closed down a few months ago because not generating enough profit. So right now, we still don't know what will be their next plans yet. This news is already outdated, since it was written on January 2022.

Can you link sources? The last Tales of mobile game was tales of Luminaria which I was playing (And didn't spent a dime, whoops!) closed down and it had such a good story and characters, hoping that these guys make it a console version and not some cringe gacha cash grab.

I hope it gets shutdown in a year. =D

If it's mobile only, I will not be playing it. And I've played many tales games, including on consoles I do not own (I would borrow a console and buy the game). Mobile gaming sucks, that's it.

Yea, but for consoles only. The Steam version has contains everything from the PS3 version already, so the upcoming remaster won't be getting a PC version since it is literally just the same thing.

Only having a small attachment to this franchise I can only say "hell no" on principle. Mobile games are shallow cash grabbing trash games with no real game play out side of tapping "continue" forever. I have yet to even see a mobile game that has a good story, or good game play, but companies will feverishly pursue the mobile market for that cash cow.

They've announced there will be no added story to ToA via dlc. ToA is finished. One of the best in the series. My main hope is the next title supports couch co-op however if it doesn't I hope it's not too difficult for modders to make a co-op version like they did with ToA here.
