Does Blocking Charge with Kisara's Boost Attack work if you are not using her?
Using the MC > activates Kisara Boost > she comes in from the side > gets hit by charge anyway

The above seems to be majority of the cases. Anyone found a way to make it work w/o actively using her?

It does work for me. Not sure what you did wrong without video, but IIRC you can only stop the charge if the enemy is in front of you. Also, you need to use it while they are charging, and not before they charge. If you use it before they charge (like preparing to charge), it wouldn't do anything.

Kisara's boost attack blocks charge attacks that have the charge animation (if you don't see the sonic/air waves around them then it isn't a charge attack, even if they look like they're running around charging). For all intents and purposes, it is effectively teleportation so it doesn't matter where she is when you cast it and you only cast it after you see the charge effect mentioned. If you do this it should work 100% of the time.

1. There's some timing involved. Activate her skill too early or too late and the charge will proceed.
2. Some attacks may look like charge attacks, but they are actually not.

I did encounter one case where it was bad luck but she came in from the side and the charge brought the target past her before she managed to pull off her move, so my guess is that when you triggered her attack, she actually missed.

It's not that big a deal in later game when the enemy targets become bigger but at the start, Boars tend to slip pass her unless you trigger her in front of the enemy. i.e try to trigger her attack when the enemy is further away so she appears in front of the enemy rather than from the side.
Outside of someone modding how it works, nope. Not that its impossible to use her boost attack to actually prevent a charge from happening and not take any damage, but that window is very small. Most of the time, you're only going to get the down while the enemy is charging.

i dont like kisaras boost attack precisely for that reason. its very specific and so you cant just use it too early, but it has to be specifically mid charge. i foten end up not attacking stuff and not moving around and instead waiting for an enemy to charge so i can stop him with correct timing. it takes away from the fluid combat quite a lot.

Kisara's boost attack only works on enemies with the charging "symbol" next to their name and it is only visible during an enemy's charge. Hope this helps anyone in the future.

Timestamp is 11:42 for the charging symbol.
There is much more information in the video as well if you're interested.

I've never had a problem using her boost. She teleports in and almost immediately activates it; I've used it while the enemy was off-screen and moving away from me after I've dodged, and it worked.
