Hm. I don't usually play mobile games (and generally consider them the scourge of the gaming industry), but I might try to emulate this on PC. I'll have to look into it more later and consider it.

Just saying. The gameplay is not that user-friendly if played on emulators or tablet due to how the controls is designed. There is no Auto-play. Plus, it is in portrait mode due to design choice.

But at least, the gacha system does not feel cash-grab. Characters are all free, you only need to roll for equipments

Thanks for the information. I'm not too worried about the control scheme for emulation, but we'll see if I ever get around to it. The characters being free is nice, at least.

I'll stay off of the mobile market, thanks.

I was actually shocked at how good this was for a mobile game -- especially since it's vertical game play. This is a quality game so far, and the opening OST was good.

did they make it better or were we playing different games? the gameplay was horrendous, there was no way to control the camera which was stuck in the vertical orientation making it a challenge to even see what you were trying to fight and making dodging incoming attacks almost impossible, the combat controls were all seemingly tied to one button on the screen so you could dodge roll when you wanted to attack, targeting one specific enemy in a crowd was impossible and trying to navigate the game world was a chore. I like the character designs and the cutscenes but I never made it past the first chapter because I couldn't stand the gameplay.

should be noted that I played it the day it launched so I am actually wondering if it got fixed or changed for the better.

The game was designed of ease of holding the phone in 1-hand in mind, thus the vertical view. This will never ever change.

As for the camera view, they did add a Far FOV option to zoom out the view by a little bit. I heard that many background assets are actually 2D assets that was pre-rendered from 3D. So allowing camera move would actually make many assets look like flat-plane when seen from an angle, if that were the case.

Targeting an enemy is based on the distance of your character with the enemy. Your character will always target the one nearest to your character. If you look at the white arrows below you characters, it will show you which direction the enemy currently is. Maybe they will add a focused-targeting system one day, but for now you just have to get used to this and make-do with it.

The devs are always paying attention to feedbacks, and will gradually improve the game.

Why make real games when you can make gatcha Skinner box DLC boosters?

Mobile games are like selling crack to kids it is deplorable. If you're a part of this you should be rotting in prison. Do not support their abortion of awful empty contentless games designed like a slot machine to get you to insert more "coins."

Don't be another mobile gaming sheep, topple to gatcha tyrant scum!!!!!!!!!

I don't understand why people keep playing tales of games on mobile. Even if the story is ok at best you'll never see the end of it cause it'll take years and years for the devs to push the updates. I really hope this new mobile tales of fails miserably and in a short time. Namco needs to understand that "story based" gacha games don't need to exist.

Gacha games don't need to exist, but sadly here we are. :stress:
